Jenny grew up in a small farming community in Eastern Washington before attending NNU and getting her teaching degree. Jenny and her dog moved to Olympia in 2005 from Nampa after living there for 5 years. She currently teaches 8th grade science and coaches volleyball at Tumwater Middle School.
After travelling with Parable for NNU, Jenny knew that the area of ministry she was drawn to was one that reached students. She began working with youth at Mountain View 5 days after moving to the area when Mike Malmin invited her to Denver on a mission trip with a group of Junior High students. Since then, she’s taught Sunday school, led Bible studies and small groups, been on 3 mission trips, 2 NYCs, 2 summer camps, winter retreats, and road trips to district and regional events. Jenny loves MVSM!
Jenny enjoys spending time with my family, photography, having summers off, the Oregon Coast, mowing her lawn, Diet Coke, reading, and watching Mariners baseball.

Kent was born in Panama City, Panama and spent his first seven years in Central America as a missionary kid. He proudly puffs his chest out to say he’s a third-generation Nazarene and was a pastor’s kid until college-aged.
He graduated from NNU majoring in Graphic Design and worked as a graphic designer and web developer for nineteen years. He is currently working as a Mac/Network Technician for the Law Offices of Harold D. Carr.
In 2010 Kent joined Mountain View Student Ministries and in 2012, with a couple of high schoolers, started a video game club named GDOC (Gaming Disciples of Christ) as an outreach to teens.
These are a few of his favorite things: mountain biking, flying kites, Big Red soda, Seattle Sounders, video & tabletop games, spending time with family and being left-handed.
More to come...
